What is DFPP?
Double Filtration Plasmapheresis (DFPP) is an advanced blood purification therapy. It removes harmful substances such as oxidized cholesterol, immune complexes, inflammatory proteins, and toxins from plasma while preserving essential proteins. DFPP is used in anti-aging and regenerative medicine to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, support detoxification, and protect vascular health.
How Does It Work?
1. A small amount of blood is drawn from your vein and passed through a filter.
2. The plasma (liquid part of your blood) is separated.
3. The plasma goes through a second filter that removes harmful large molecules such as:
- Oxidized LDL cholesterol
- Autoimmune antibodies & immune complexes
- Inflammatory proteins (cytokines, CRP)
- Advanced glycation end products (AGEs)
- Environmental toxins and metabolic waste
4. The “cleaned” plasma is then safely returned to your body, along with your red and white blood cells.
⏱ Duration: Around 2–3 hours per session. Patients are usually comfortable, resting in a reclining chair during the procedure.
Medical Conditions That May Benefit
DFPP is supportive (not curative) and may benefit patients with:
- Cardiovascular risk: High cholesterol, arteriosclerosis, hypertension
- Metabolic syndrome: Diabetes, obesity, fatty liver
- Autoimmune conditions: Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis (under medical supervision)
- Chronic inflammation & toxins: Chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, heavy metal or toxin exposure
- Neurodegenerative conditions: Early Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s (supportive care)
- Anti-aging & longevity programs: Cellular detox, improved circulation, vascular rejuvenation
Benefits
- Improves circulation and vascular elasticity
- Reduces inflammation and oxidative stress
- Lowers harmful cholesterol and toxins
- Supports detoxification by liver and kidneys
- May improve energy, focus, and overall wellness
- Complements regenerative therapies (stem cells, peptides, Plasma)
Safety & Considerations
DFPP is safe when performed under medical supervision.
Possible mild temporary effects:
- Fatigue or dizziness
- Low blood pressure during or after the session
- Cold sensation in arms during the procedure
Not suitable for patients with:
- Severe anemia
- Active infection
- Serious clotting or bleeding disorders
Frequency
- Anti-aging & prevention: 1 session every 3–6 months
- Medical conditions: As recommended by your physician (may require multiple sessions in a series)
